Elliptics: Security Note – No Log4j worries with WebCrossing

You have probably been reading the urgent warnings and alerts about the “Log4j” vulnerability around the Internet this week. There are headlines like:

“CISA director says the LOG4J security flaw is the “most serious” she’s seen in her career”

“Log4j is patched, but the exploits are just getting started”

“NASA’S MARS HELICOPTER APPARENTLY HAS THE LOG4J SECURITY FLAW”

“Companies scramble to defend against newly discovered ‘Log4j’ digital flaw”

We wanted to just reassure you that WebCrossing and our host Linux servers do not make use of Log4j and thus are not vulnerable to attack. In fact, WebCrossing has it’s own internal web server and doesn’t even use Apache.

So enjoy your holidays with one less thing to worry about! Be well, and see you in 2022 (the year “Soylent Green” takes place in).
